Hebrew Vocabulary Problems Help?

Right i understand the Alphabet(Aleph Bet) now and the vowels but its just the vocabluary when i'm reading Hebrew sometimes i forget what the word is in English, and have to think really hard to understandiwhat a word is in English which hurts my head and give me a headache. Anyone know how to solve this this does not happen when i read French.
