Why can't we see the dune buggy tracks on the moon?

To counter the existing sceptisism of many people regarding wether or not the americans really went to the moon, shouldn't we try to just see if the landers or the dune buggies are still there? I understand the problem of atmospheric optical distortion but why not use a space telescope. An independent agency could use its telescope to search for any trace of mans once being on the moon surface!
