Why did we let a flawed system and a flawed few destroy our humanity?

I believe your question should be in the present tense. I haven't been around long enough to have let anybody do anything. Everything that is happening was already happening when I got here. So, "Why are we letting a flawed system destroy our humanity," should be the question. And, I believe the answer is, that it is not crucial to our survival. At this point in our evolution, we have become accustomed to eating 99cent cheeseburgers and getting our knowledge through a government regulated television screen. We have to be pro-active, creative and unafraid to tell people what we think. We have to force ourselves to evolve past what we have become. To think that we were better off in a distant past where simplicity and intellectualism were fruits to be picked by all who ped by, is a pipedream. The past was horrible; people were rascist, hatefully prejudiced and more unevolved than anyone around now. The past is no more golden than our future. If we want a better world, we will have to do it ourselves, and we probably won't have anytime to enjoy it once we get started. So, what do we do? fight our whole lives, or just sit back and say everything and everybody is too stupid to be righteous.
